EIRA 1993-2013: creating, supporting and promoting contemporary dance in Portugal and beyond for two decades. EIRA is an artistic structure based in Lisbon dedicated to the development and promotion of dance and contemporary dance. After 25 years of activity, EIRA is now recognized, nationally and internationally, as a reference, both as a structure for creation, production and artistic programming in the area of contemporary dance, as well as an important meeting point for artists and projects.
Francisco Camacho’s “Nossa Senhora das Flores” will be performed in Latvia as part of the Laiks Dejot Festival in Riga on June 9.
Premiered in 1993, Nossa Senhora das Flores still retains all the qualities that have made this show one of the benchmarks of Portuguese contemporary dance.
In Nossa Senhora das Flores, Camacho reveals the history of the body in pain and pleasure.
