WORKSHOP WITH FRANCISCO CAMACHO – DeVIR/CAPa

From 16 to 19 July, DeVIR/CAP is organising Summer Workshops in Theatre and Dance – a series of 4 workshops (2 theatre and 2 contemporary dance).

Francisco Camacho will be teaching a workshop on ‘Choreographic aspects in improvisation’, which proposes an approach to contemporary dance through creative strategies explored individually and collectively, in an atmosphere of openness and appreciation of different contributions. The aim of the workshop is to stimulate and deepen the practice of improvisation, taking it as an engine of choreographic possibilities. The aim is to exercise the operation on the movement that emerges, identifying and testing different possibilities for directing, developing and reconfiguring it. The work will be developed in accordance with the particular characteristics of each participant, exploring their expressive physical qualities and presence. But interaction with the group will also be important, exploring the added potential of creativity developed in dialogue and collaboration.
