EIRA 1993-2013: creating, supporting and promoting contemporary dance in Portugal and beyond for two decades. EIRA is an artistic structure based in Lisbon dedicated to the development and promotion of dance and contemporary dance. After 25 years of activity, EIRA is now recognized, nationally and internationally, as a reference, both as a structure for creation, production and artistic programming in the area of contemporary dance, as well as an important meeting point for artists and projects.
The artistic collaboration between Francisco Camacho and Meg Stuart continues to tour and will soon be presented at the corpo de hoje festival on 5 September.
‘steal you for a moment’ traces back to Stuart’s early works, notably “Disfigure Study” (1991). Their deep personal connection has grown through various projects, such as Stuart’s acclaimed solo piece “BLESSED”, which Camacho has performed since 2007.
